Kami was born and raised in Michigan prior to attending George Mason University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For 10 years Kami specialized in cardiac, surgical, and medical ICU before furthering her education. Attending University of South Florida, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, graduating summa cum laude.

Kami is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. When not practicing medicine, Kami enjoys traveling and cooking. Kami is also a certified yoga instructor, having practiced over 20 years.
